From choosing the ideal venue to finding the perfect dress, you can turn your dream day into reality with the right guidance and a little bit of organisation.

Have you considered hosting your wedding in London? London with its blend of beautiful historic buildings and modern charm has made it one of the world’s top wedding destinations. Popular with royals and celebrities alike! Choose from the grandeur of a Westminster Abbey wedding, where royals like William and Kate exchanged vows, to iconic venues like Old Marylebone Town Hall, where celebrities such as Jude Law, Paul McCartney, and Liam Gallagher have wed, or plan something a little more intimate at one of the many small wedding venues across the capital.

We believe that The Bentley offers the perfect, romantic, London hotel wedding venue. Here in this guide, we discuss 10 essential points to think about when planning your London wedding.

1. Central Location

Location is key in planning a successful wedding. It should be easily accessible for both local and further afield guests whilst being somewhere you and your fiancé love. South Kensington is a popular choice. This gem of a location is close to some of London’s best green spaces like Hyde Park and Kensington Palace & Gardens, London’s top museums, the Royal Albert Hall and more.

Accommodating your guests in the same venue can simplify logistics and keep the celebration going. The Bentley Hotel offers 64 luxurious rooms and suites, providing comfort and elegance for your family and friends.

We are one of the few hotels in the world which have a variety of honeymoon suites to choose from. The Imperial Suite is a favourite among many of our guests, offering a large floor plan, grand piano, opulent dining room, including private access to Le Kalon Spa. You can take a look at all our suite options here

4. Wedding Planning

Choosing a venue which can give guidance on the essentials such as flowers, invitations, photography etc. can relieve a lot of unnecessary stress, allowing you both to fully relax on the day and leading up to the wedding. The Bentley offers a “complete” service which can ensure every detail is seamless.

5. Delicious Dining

A bespoke catering service is essential to your unique London wedding. The Bentley offer tailor-made menus using carefully selected fresh ingredients to suit every palate.

The Bentley’s opulent rooms, including the grand ‘1880 Room’ and the chandelier-lit ‘Alexander Suite,’ offer luxurious settings that can be transformed to fit your vision and will make your London wedding reception dream come alive.

7. Pre and Post Wedding Spa

Not an essential but definitely an added benefit is choosing a venue with its own luxury spa! Kiss goodbye to any pre-wedding stresses with a couple’s spa package or enjoy a last minute celebration with the bridal party to ensure your skin is wedding ready. The Bentley’s Le Kalon Spa, with its hammam and rejuvenating treatments, provides a calming sanctuary to unwind.

You can even continue the relaxation after the ‘I do’s’ with a romantic honeymoon experience for 2.

Are You Ready for Wimbledon 2024?

The iconic Wimbledon Championships are nearly here! During the weeks of July 1 to July 14 2024, the oldest tennis tournament in the world will unfold on the pristine lawns and grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. Thousands of portions of Strawberries and Cream will be sold and glasses of Pimm’s poured amidst the excitement as players compete for the chance to be crowned a champion.

Did you enter the Wimbledon ticket ballot? If you weren’t fortunate to win tickets this year, there is no need to fear as Wimbledon remains one of the very few major sporting events where you can buy premium tickets and grounds passes on the day of play! In this article we will review how to get tickets for Wimbledon 2024 and how to plan your trip.

Firstly, if you were one of the chosen ones who snagged tickets in the ballot, then your journey to Wimbledon begins with planning your London stay. South Kensington is a popular choice for accommodation, situated on the District Line only a handful of stops away from Southfields and Wimbledon. It offers a convenient location in a sought-after area of London, close to the museums and the Royal Parks. If you are looking for a Luxury Wimbledon hotel in this area loved by spectators and players alike, then you should definitely consider a stay at The Bentley Hotel South Kensington. This luxurious retreat offers a regal ambiance and impeccable service, setting the stage for an unforgettable Wimbledon experience. Take a look at our luxury rooms and suites here.

How to Get Tickets to Wimbledon 2024

If you aren’t a Wimbledon ticket holder currently, then here’s how to get tickets. Wimbledon’s famous ‘Queue’ offers a unique experience and a great day out. After all queuing is what us Brits do best… Right? It doesn’t even have to be a chore if you do it well. Make sure to book your Wimbledon hotel the day before you plan to go so you can get to the grounds hassle-free and in plenty of time. The earlier you start the quicker you can expect to get in the grounds, so, if you want to be there in time for the start of the matches then make sure to be there as early as possible. The grounds don’t open till around 10am so we recommend bringing things to keep you entertained like a picnic, a book or a pack of cards, plus a blanket to sit on so you can rest your legs! Finally, just remember to soak in all the atmosphere and camaraderie of Wimbledon because it is truly unique.

Once you make it to the gates and receive your grounds pass then you will be able to access all courts including No.3 Court, Court 12 and Court 18, as well as The Hill, where you will be able to see all the action from Centre and No.1 Courts. These tickets are excellent value and great for if you are searching for cheap tickets to Wimbledon.

If you are looking for Centre Court tickets, No.1 Court or No.2 court tickets then there are 500 tickets available each day. This requires a more intensive queuing experience and arriving several days in advance, but it can be done! An easier and cheaper way to access these tickets can be through the ticket re-sell kiosks once you’re inside the grounds, these tickets can then be purchased at a reduced fee as they become available throughout the day.

Within the vast Wimbledon grounds, there is something for everyone, from unique experiences and activities, bars with a view and stunning displays, without even mentioning the tennis! We can’t guarantee you’ll get round it all in a day but we can guarantee an excellent day out. Plus, with the Bentley hotel as your base your Wimbledon Experience will be a delight from beginning to end. So what are you waiting for? Book your Wimbledon 2024 trip today!

Spring Self Care at The Bentley Hotel

Spring is arriving early in London, are you ready? There’s no stopping the approach of warmer weather as Spring rolls in more rapidly than we were expecting! Daffodils and crocuses are in full bloom and (nearly a full month early!) the blossom is filling the trees. The RHS predicts that this will be a special year for seeing blossom and that 2024 will see longer-lasting and high levels of blossom. The different varieties of cherry trees around the Royal Parks are some of the most popular sights in London. In Autumn 2019, 25 new cherry trees were planted across the Royal Parks, creating a spectacle during the blossom season that people travel miles to view each Spring for Hanami – a flower viewing tradition! Why not come and see it for yourself? The Bentley Hotel South Kensington is the perfect base near the Royal Parks so you can get the best view of Spring that London has to offer.

While we’re all familiar the restoration and rejuvenation that Spring brings to the world around us, we think it’s equally important to consider our own renewal. So, just as the earth undergoes a refreshing transformation, why not prioritise some Spring self-care to revitalise? Take the opportunity to invest some time in nurturing your own well-being amidst the blossoming beauty of the season with our new Spring Spa packages at Le Kalon Spa. Picture yourself enveloped in a sanctuary of tranquillity, where the stresses of daily life melt away amidst soothing aromas and gentle melodies… Bliss!
