The Diwali festival will be taking place on the 16^th of October. This celebration comes from the Hindu faith and so is mostly celebrated within India, however due to the multicultural society of London; the capital city decides to put on festival in the centre of Trafalgar square.

Even though this festival is traditionally celebrated by Hindus and Sikhs, that doesn’t limit who is welcome, Diwali is celebrated by people of all nationalities, races and religions.

The Royal Family At Buckingham Palace

Now you might not be able to meet the royal family face to face, however you can see one of their residences up close and personal. Buckingham Palace opened its doors to ticket holders on the 23^rd of July. The Games Afoot

Become the British detective we all know and love, Sherlock Holmes. The Game’s Afoot, an immersive detective experience where 40 people in a room are tasked with solving two unique cases. Uncover clues, use the power of deduction, interview suspect and solve the mystery.

June 11 2016: Trooping the Colour (The Queen’s Birthday Parade)

During this event the Queen has the chance to inspect and judge each soldier from the household division. If you aren’t able to make it to London this day, the BBC will be televising the event from 10am.

If you are in London make your way to Buckingham Palace to catch a glipse of the Royal Family travelling to and from Buckingham Palace throughout the day in their extravagant Carriages.

June 12 2016: The Patron’s Lunch

Easter Weekend 2016

London is having a festive end to the month of March by putting on a multitude of events for anyone that has interest in getting out and about. This includes shows, festivals and traditions such as the Oxford, Cambridge boat race that has been in place since 1829. This boat race this year will take place on the 27th March and is a key part of both Universities history. There have been 161 races between the two universities and they are only separated by two races, with Cambridge in the lead. This could be the year when Oxford gains back a race so make sure you be there to see it live.
